Iso-Pappila in Pieksämäki is a versatile destination which is open in the summer. During the summer there are art exhibitions, summer theatre, concerts, and cafe.

Iso-Pappila in Pieksämäki is a Gustavian style parsonage. The magnificent building is more than 210 years old and surrounded by a beautiful garden, Sylvi’s park.

Sylvi Kekkonen, the wife of President Urho Kekkonen, was born in the parsonage as the daughter of the curate Uino and her memorial stone is situated in Sylvi’s park.

During the wintertime, the visual arts school of the Adult Education Centre operates in the building. Summer activities of Iso-Pappila in Pieksämäki were earlier carried out by an association but since the beginning of 2021 by the City of Pieksämäki.
